The gas-fired power plant with the largest single-unit capacity in China has been put into full-capacity operation.

On the 20th, it was learned from the National Energy Group that the Zhejiang Anji Power Plant of the group has officially started full capacity operation. This is the largest and most efficient gas-fired power plant in China, and will provide stable support for the winter electricity peak in the East China region.

The two units of Anji Power Plant put into operation this time have a total installed capacity of 1686 megawatts, with a designed efficiency of 64.15%. As a clean power source with flexible adjustment capabilities, Anji Power Plant can achieve rapid start stop and output adjustment within 90 minutes, effectively supporting the stable operation of the power grid and promoting the efficient consumption of renewable energy such as wind power and photovoltaics. It is reported that after the project is put into operation, the annual power generation can reach 7 billion kilowatt hours, which can meet the annual electricity demand of about 6 million residents; It is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 1.86 million tons and save about 680000 tons of standard coal annually, with significant environmental and energy-saving benefits.
