from:date:2026-04-09hit:20

China Gas Turbine Group Corporation and Jiangsu Hanchen Elite Marine Engineering Co., Ltd. recently officially signed an agreement in Nantong, Jiangsu. Hanchen Elite will purchase five "Taihang 7" gas turbines from China Gas Turbine Group as core power equipment for the floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) unit of the Sepat Integrated Redevelopment Project of Malaysia's Petronas. This marks the first foray of domestically produced gas turbines into the high-end FPSO market, achieving a new breakthrough in the application of marine energy under extreme operating conditions.

According to reports, the "Taihang 7" gas turbine is specially designed for marine environments with high salt spray, high humidity, and high corrosion conditions. It excels in reliability, stability, and continuous operation capabilities, meeting the stringent requirements of FPSO power systems and aligning with international top-tier energy project standards.

Currently, the global marine energy industry is accelerating its transformation towards high-end, green, and integrated development. The procurement agreement for the "Taihang 7" gas turbine underscores the collaborative competitiveness of Chinese enterprises in the international high-end offshore equipment industry chain, injecting strong momentum into the "going global" of domestically produced equipment.
