The cumulative gas transmission capacity of the Shaanxi Beijing pipeline system has exceeded 800 billion cubic meters

On February 26, 2026, the cumulative gas transmission capacity of the Shaanxi Beijing pipeline system of the National Pipeline Network Group exceeded 800 billion cubic meters, injecting strong momentum into serving and ensuring people's livelihoods and regional coordinated development.

The Shaanxi Beijing pipeline system is an important component of China's natural gas "national network", mainly including Shaanxi Beijing first line, second line, third line, fourth line, etc., with a total length of 5599 kilometers. The gas supply covers more than 70 cities in multiple provinces, regions, and cities such as Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shaanxi, Shanxi, and Inner Mongolia, serving thousands of large and medium-sized enterprises.

The daily gas transmission capacity of the Shaanxi Beijing pipeline system is about 200 million cubic meters, and during peak hours, the daily gas transmission capacity can reach 309 million cubic meters, effectively ensuring more than 95% of the natural gas demand in the capital city of Beijing. In recent years, by continuously improving the "Five Major Channels to Beijing" and the layout of the Beijing Ring Road network, the annual volume of transported goods has reached 97.2 billion cubic meters, reducing social energy costs by nearly 3 billion yuan, effectively supporting the coordinated development of Beijing Tianjin Hebei.

Behind the continuous upgrading of supply guarantee capability is the dual empowerment of resource coordination for pipeline interconnection and intelligent technology operation and maintenance support. The Anping operation area located in Hebei Province serves as a key hub for the pipeline system, with a "seven in and ten out" process layout to achieve interconnectivity with national trunk pipelines such as the "North to South Gas" energy corridor. It can transport nearly 100 million cubic meters of natural gas downstream daily. In Beijing, Miyun operation area innovatively promotes the deep integration mode of intelligent inspection robots and manual inspection, combined with AI video analysis system and intelligent control platform, significantly reducing 70% of repetitive workload, realizing real-time monitoring of equipment operation status and intelligent warning of safety risks, and ensuring stable natural gas transportation.
