China National Offshore Oil Corporation's Guangdong pipeline has accumulated over 100 billion cubic meters of gas transmission

The reporter learned from CNOOC Guangdong Pipeline that the cumulative gas transmission volume of CNOOC Guangdong Pipeline has recently exceeded 100 billion cubic meters (including the Zhuhai pipeline under its jurisdiction). It is estimated that 100 billion cubic meters of natural gas can replace about 130 million tons of coal, reduce carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide emissions by about 140 million tons and 2.2 million tons, equivalent to planting 1.4 billion trees, with significant green, low-carbon and environmental benefits.

Since the first pipeline was put into operation in 2006, Guangdong Pipeline has continued to plough deep into the west bank of the the Pearl River Estuary, and has successively completed and put into operation such natural gas pipeline projects as Zhuhai Zhongshan Natural Gas Pipeline Phase I and Phase II, Zhongshan Section and Guangzhou Section of the China Guangzhou Railway, and Zhongshan City Pipe Network Phase I and Phase II. At present, Guangdong Pipeline operates and manages 384 kilometers of natural gas pipelines, which are important channels for the export of offshore natural gas resources and LNG resources such as Liwan "3-1", "Deep Sea One", Zhuhai LNG, Dapeng LNG, etc. The gas supply covers core cities in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area such as Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Guangzhou, and Macao. Since 2021, the Guangdong pipeline has transported over 10 billion cubic meters of gas for four consecutive years, injecting strong momentum into regional green development.

As an important natural gas pipeline transportation enterprise of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, Guangdong Pipeline will continue to play the role of a pipeline transportation bridge, continuously strengthen upstream and downstream cooperation, enhance safety management, improve smart operation level, promote the formation of a gas supply pattern with multiple gas sources complementing each other and ensuring safe supply, and continuously enhance the clean energy supply guarantee capability of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.
