At the beginning of the "15th Five-Year Plan", the construction of multiple major oil and gas infrastructure projects in China has accelerated, with several trunk pipelines and gas storage and peak shaving projects steadily advancing. This continues to densify the national oil and gas transmission network, laying a solid foundation for building a powerful energy nation.
Recently, at the construction site of the Hainan LNG Phase II project of the National Gas Network Group, the dome of the 3# LNG storage tank, weighing 821 tons, successfully completed its "gas lift jacking", marking a significant milestone in the project's progress. As a key measure to optimize the energy layout in South China and ASEAN during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the success of this "gas lift jacking" has opened an "accelerated path" for the subsequent construction of the 4# and 5# storage tanks, and laid a solid foundation for Hainan Free Trade Port to become a LNG resource supply center in ASEAN and a warehousing and transshipment hub in the Asia-Pacific region in the future.

Currently, the overall progress of the second phase of the project is nearing half completion, with an expected completion in 2027. Upon completion, it will add a gas storage capacity of 400 million cubic meters, significantly enhancing the region's natural gas peak shaving and supply guarantee capabilities.
