The new product of CGT3 gas turbine was launched in Harbin, marking the complete self-reliance and controllability of China's small gas turbines

This event showcased the pedigree innovation achievements of the CGT series gas turbines from China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC). CSIC has been fully committed to developing a series of CGT gas turbine products with a power range spanning from 3 to 50MW, featuring autonomous controllability and mature technology. These include multiple mature products such as 30MW-class gas turbine-driven compressor units, 25MW dual-fuel gas turbine generator sets, and medium and high-power gas turbine mobile power stations. Currently, these products have achieved multi-field and all-scenario applications, with users including leading enterprises such as CNOOC, the National Natural Gas Pipeline Network, and Huadian Corporation. Their market share has been steadily increasing, not only driving the process of autonomous controllability for major equipment in the national energy field but also demonstrating the strength of Chinese brands in the global energy power market.

In the keynote report session, Lin Feng delivered a report titled "Independent Innovation and Development of CGT Series Gas Turbines". Experts from CNOOC, National Natural Gas Network, Tsinghua University, and other institutions shared their latest achievements and practical experiences on topics such as the application of domestic 25MW gas turbine generator sets on offshore platforms, the development and application of 30MW-class gas-driven compressor units and PT30-D power turbines, as well as industrial gas turbine health management. This demonstrated the strong vitality of collaborative innovation and cross-industry integration in the industrial chain.

At the event, China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) and the 703 Institute officially signed the "Framework Agreement on Primary Centralized Procurement of 20MW Gas Turbine Generator Sets for CNOOC for the Years 2025-2027". Both parties simultaneously held the launch ceremony for the "Research and Development Contract for Key Technologies of Localization of Gas Turbine-driven Liquefaction Compressor Units for FLNG".
