China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) has fully launched gas injection operations at its storage facilities across the country.

Spring returns to the earth, and the earth breathes in new green. The gas storage deep underground is quietly accumulating energy. When the residual heat of the heating season dissipates, the gas storage storage also begins to prepare for the future and "stock up" to ensure sufficient and stable gas supply through seasonal peak regulating.

On April 3, as the largest gas storage in the country, the Hutubi Gas Storage in Xinjiang Oilfield, the gas injection compressor has rolled up its sleeves and started to dry. It is responsible for the natural gas supply in cities along the West-East Gas Pipeline Network and in the northern Xinjiang region. Just after a cold wave, all employees have not stopped and have invested in new journeys of maintenance, debugging and optimization... In view of the characteristics of large gas injection volume, high strata pressure and high storage capacity application in this cycle, technicians have used a variety of "trick tricks" to keep a close eye on production dynamics and conduct "health inspections" for monitoring wells, reduce the number of downtimes and durations, and ensure the smooth operation of gas injection work.

The new round of gas injection work in Xiangguo Temple Gas Storage has started very well. This time, gas injection will strive to reach the full capacity target, and provide sufficient resources for ensuring supply and reserves for natural gas peak shaving this winter and next spring. Before the gas injection starts, the technical team conducts inspections of the site processes and equipment item by item, adjusts the DCS system parameters to the **** state, and monitors the leakage risk of gas injection trunk lines in real time through sound waves and probe equipment to achieve safety control in all links. In 2025, the warehouse sets a target for full storage capacity and plans to inject gases for more than 2 billion cubic meters of gases throughout the year, providing solid guarantees for meeting peak gas use in winter to ensure energy demand.

On the same day, the North China Oilfield Gas Storage Group also ushered in a new round of gas injection cycle. This "underground treasure house" that protects the energy security of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei has been working silently for fifteen years, with a cumulative gas injection volume exceeding 15.6 billion cubic meters, writing a silent oath to ensure energy supply. The database deeply explores the potential of the in-service warehouse group, scientifically implements the "big injection and procurement" model, adopts the initial adjustment, medium-term flat pressure, and late-stage slow injection policies, and combines inter-opening and multi-store joint injections to significantly increase the scale of gas injection.

At the same time, the first (set) megawatt-level natural gas pressure differential generator set in China will be put into operation simultaneously, which can achieve the conversion of "pressure energy to mechanical energy and then to electrical energy". The entire process does not consume natural gas and will not affect the environment. It is expected that this gas injection cycle will generate more than 10 million kilowatt-hours, save more than 3,000 tons of standard coal, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by nearly 10,000 tons.

As the spring tide is surging, the Liaohe Oilfield Gas Storage Group has embarked on the 12th round of gas injection journey. During the gas injection cycle this winter and next spring, Shuangtaizi Gas Storage, Lei 61 Gas Storage, etc. will undertake gas injection tasks to ensure supply and "stock up grain" this winter and next spring.

Faced with the actual conditions of the shortest balance period of injection and production, Liaohe Oilfield Gas Storage Company has anchored the annual gas injection and production task goals, and combined with the characteristics and operating status of the oil and gas reservoirs in each block of the gas storage, comprehensively optimized the gas injection matching, optimized the performance of the compressor unit, and achieved efficient and safe gas injection in each block.

From the end of March to the beginning of April, the spring breeze swept across the southern foot of the Tianshan Mountains, and gas storage facilities such as Yaha Gas Storage, Kirkya Gas Storage and the pilot test warehouse in the Donghe Tang Tower began gas injection operations. In 2025, the gas storage group will complete the total gas injection task of more than 1 billion cubic meters, which will accumulate enough confidence to ensure natural gas supply this winter and next spring, and will become a powerful beating of the energy artery in southern Xinjiang.

Changqing Oilfield has launched the "grain storage" model ahead of schedule, made a series of improvements to key bottlenecks, and innovated a variety of technologies such as lithogenic gas reservoirs, dynamic sealing evaluation technology, which has strongly supported the construction and safe and efficient operation of low-permeability lithogenic gas reservoirs, and built a solid resource foundation for ensuring natural gas supply.

The 11 underground gas storage reservoirs under Dagang Oilfield have reserved "energy" in advance for natural gas supply this winter and next spring. As the largest underground gas storage group in North China, the Dagang Oilfield gas storage group has an important mission and undertakes tasks such as seasonal peak regulation and emergency gas supply in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and protects the stability of the lights of thousands of families. The total gas extraction of this reservoir group exceeded 2 billion cubic meters, transporting a steady stream of heat to the northern land. Today, the Dagang Oilfield Gas Storage Group has anchored the goal of "10 billion cubic meters". Through optimization of injection and production operations and fine geological dynamic analysis, it has continuously improved its peak shaving capacity, laying a solid foundation for ensuring the supply of natural gas in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei in winter.

In spring, summer storage, autumn and winter supply, gas injection work in many places has been fully launched, injecting abundant energy from spring into the ground, building warm guarantees during the seasonal rotation, allowing every natural gas injected to accumulate full energy.
