Yan'an LNG Storage and Peak Shaving Project's Front Area Completed Ahead of Schedule

Recently, the main structures of the front-of-plant building complex of Yanchang Petroleum Yan'an LNG Storage and Peak Shaving Project have been successfully topped out, achieving a key milestone ahead of schedule.

This topping out marks a significant progress in the project construction, laying a solid foundation for achieving the front-of-plant mechanical completion target. The front-of-plant building complex covers a total area of 6679 square meters, including comprehensive office building, shift dormitory, and canteen. During construction, despite facing unfavorable conditions such as strong spring sandstorms, narrow and restricted construction site, and difficult management and control in Northern Shaanxi, the project team fully utilized the advantages of integrated design, procurement, and construction. Through early planning, interface coordination, and effective organization, they precisely controlled the upper structure construction schedule, achieving a 20% efficiency improvement compared to similar projects.

The Yanchang Petroleum Yan'an LNG Project is a key energy infrastructure project in Shaanxi Province. Upon completion, it will have an annual liquefaction capacity of 400,000 tons and a peak shaving capacity of 40,000 cubic meters per hour, meeting Yan'an's 15-day emergency gas demand. Currently, the overall project progress has reached 62%, with core units such as the process plant area and 50,000 cubic meter LNG storage tank group under intensive construction. After commissioning, the project will not only effectively solve the natural gas emergency reserve problem in Yan'an and surrounding areas but also reduce carbon emissions from coal combustion, promote local employment, and inject new momentum into the energy structure upgrading and green development of this revolutionary base area.
